A Small, Independent Family Firm — Here to Care, Not to Rush
When someone dies, choosing a funeral director can feel overwhelming. Families often tell us they worry about being pressured, oversold to, or rushed through decisions.
That is not how we work.
Rounce Funeral Services is a second-generation, independent family funeral director based in Worthing, supporting local families for over two decades with calm professionalism, clear guidance, and genuine compassion.
There are no call centres.
No handovers between departments.
No commission-based sales.
The person who arranges the funeral with you is the same person who will oversee it on the day.
That continuity brings reassurance at a time when reassurance matters most.

Who We Are — And How We Care
Being a funeral director is about trust, dignity, and doing things properly — especially when families are at their most vulnerable.
Our approach is simple:
• We listen before we advise
• We explain clearly, without jargon
• We give families time and space
• We never apply pressure
• We care for every person as we would our own family
We are fully transparent about costs, options and what is — and isn’t — included, so you remain informed and in control at every stage.
Why Families Choose Rounce
Families who come to us often say the same things matter most:
• Clear, upfront pricing
• Calm, measured guidance
• Continuity from first meeting to funeral day
• Personal accountability
• A gentle, unhurried approach
Trust is earned quietly — through consistency, transparency, and keeping our word.

Reviews
Over 350 five-star reviews — rated 5.0 / 5.0.
Those words, written by families we have supported, mean more to us than any award.
Recognition & Awards
We have twice been named National Winner at the Good Funeral Awards (2019 and 2025), recognising excellence in independent funeral care, and have received the Three Best Rated® award for eleven consecutive years.
These recognitions reflect sustained standards — not one-off achievements.
More importantly, they reflect the experiences of the families we serve.

Meet the Team – Our Family
Behind every funeral we arrange is a small, dedicated team who believe that kindness, patience, and attention to detail matter.
Many families tell us how reassuring it feels to know exactly who they are dealing with — and that the same people will be there from the first phone call through to the day of the funeral and beyond.
Our Premises & Private Chapel of Rest
Our Worthing premises have been designed to feel calm, private, and unhurried — a place where families can spend time, talk things through, and say goodbye in their own way.
Our private Chapel of Rest allows families to gather for a quiet, personal farewell with music, readings, and visual tributes, away from the formality of a large crematorium service.

Professional Standards & Regulation
Professional standards should never be an afterthought.
Rounce Funeral Services is:
-
Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
-
A member of the Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF)
-
Committed to clear pricing, ethical practice and professional accountability
These standards exist to protect families — and to ensure every funeral is handled with care, respect and integrity.
Community & News
Beyond arranging funerals, we quietly support our local community through charitable initiatives, local sponsorship and inclusive support programmes.
We are proud to serve Worthing not only in times of loss, but as part of everyday community life.
