Honoured at the Good Funeral Awards – 2017 to 2025
A journey of care, compassion and quiet dedication, recognised on the national stage—while always keeping our focus on the families we serve.

2025 – Winner:
Funeral Arranger of the Year
At the Good Funeral Awards 2025, held on Saturday 20 September at the National Space Centre in Leicester, Rounce Funeral Services was once again celebrated for excellence.
Our own Rebecca Doherty was named Funeral Arranger of the Year, one of the most sought-after titles in the UK funeral profession.
Honouring Excellence in the Funeral Profession
This honour is particularly meaningful because nominations are put forward by the very families we care for, before being carefully reviewed by an independent judging panel from the Association of Green and Eco-Friendly Funerals (AGFD).
It is a true reflection of the trust local families place in us and of the quiet dedication shown by every member of the Rounce team.

Celebrating Achievements, Staying True to Our Purpose
“I’m absolutely thrilled to receive this award—especially as I was personally nominated by the families I’ve had the privilege to support.
It means so much to know that the care we give has helped at such a difficult time.
I truly love my job and feel honoured to help families create a farewell that is personal and meaningful.”
- Rebecca Doherty
At the Heart of Rounce: Care, Compassion and Trust
“Although the award carries Rebecca’s name, it represents the compassion and professionalism of our whole team at Rounce Funeral Services.
Every day, each of us works to support families with dignity and warmth.
This recognition belongs to everyone here and to the families who allow us to walk beside them.”
- Managing Director Christopher Rounce

A Proud and Humbling Journey of National Recognition
The Good Funeral Awards have often been called the “Oscars of the funeral profession,” celebrating excellence across the industry.
To see Rounce Funeral Services honoured once again—after previous finalist and winner placements in 2017, 2018 and 2019—is a proud and humbling moment.
It reminds us that the heart of our work is not in trophies, but in the care and trust of the families we serve.
Winner at the Good Funeral Awards 2019
Rounce Funeral Services Limited was honoured with a top national accolade at the AGFD Good Funeral Awards 2019 in recognition of exceptional service to bereaved families.

The award ceremony took place at the Port Lympne Hotel, Hythe, Kent on Saturday 19th October 2019, where Rounce competed against hundreds of nominees from across the United Kingdom.

Being nominated by our customers was a tremendous honour, reaching the finals was incredible—and winning the national award was truly unforgettable

Acknowledging Every Member of Our Team
While the 2019 AGFD Good Funeral Award highlights Rounce as an organisation, it reflects the collective commitment, professionalism, and compassion of every member of our team.

The recognition reminds us that our work is not only about formal accolades, but about the care and trust of the families we serve every day.

2018 – National Nominee
In 2018, Rounce Funeral Services was once again recognised at the Good Funeral Awards in Bournemouth, where we were nominated for Low Cost Funeral Provider of the Year.
This nomination reflected the continuing trust and appreciation of the families we serve and acknowledged our commitment to offering dignified, affordable funerals without compromising on care or professionalism.

Being nominated on a national stage for a second consecutive year was a humbling experience for our team. It reaffirmed that the quiet dedication and compassion we strive to show every day truly matters to the families who place their confidence in us.
Honoured in Multiple Categories
Rounce Funeral Services was also a 2019 Finalist for ‘Best Information Provider of the Year’, demonstrating excellence across multiple areas of the funeral profession.

The AGFD Good Funeral Awards are judged independently and are based on consumer nominations and trade recommendations, celebrating the quiet dedication of professionals across the industry.

Finalist at the Good Funeral Awards 2017
Rounce Funeral Services Limited was selected from hundreds of nominees to reach the final stages of the Good Funeral Awards 2017, held at Porchester Hall in London on Thursday 7th September 2017.

This independent family firm from Half Moon Lane, Salvington, Worthing, achieved Finalist status for the prestigious national title of “Low Cost Funeral Provider of the Year.”

Professionalism and Care Acknowledged
Our first national recognition came in 2017, when we reached the finals at Porchester Hall in London.
