What our customers say

Clare Godfrey

Absolutely faultless. Friendly, efficient, professional and extremely helpful.

S Brown

It's always going to be a difficult time but Rounce were exceptional. They really do seem to be a family business who care very much about what they do. We did not feel pressurised into spending more than we could afford nor did we feel 'second class' because we were on a budget. The whole funeral was well organised and relatively effortless for us because Rounce checked up on things throughout the whole process. In short,we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Elaine Wallace

These people were so kind, helpful and understanding. They went out of there way to help me give my dad the send off he deserved. They made a difficult time more easy to manage. Very good cost too, no hidden costs. Nothing was too much trouble.. I'm very grateful. I would recommended them to anybody.

Hastings Crematorium - general information

Hastings crematorium was built in 1955 and incorporated two 1856 Gothic burial chapels. The 1856 buildings were built of local sandstone, the conversion included the construction of a central apex linking the chapels, the cremators were in a building behind and the chimney and flues were concealed by a tower. From 1988 only the north chapel was in use, this was enlarged to include a cloister. A glass walkway was added in 1993 and the south chapel was converted into a flower viewing area. The Garden of Rest consists of a sunken garden, with a central fountain.
