Bespoke Coffins

Create a Coffin That Tells Their Story

Every life is unique, and sometimes a particular photograph, favourite place, lifelong passion or treasured memory can help tell the story of the person being remembered.

At Rounce Funeral Services in Worthing, we can help you explore the possibilities of a bespoke coffin design. Working from your ideas, photographs and memories, we can help create a personalised design that reflects the individuality of your loved one and the things that mattered to them.

Whether you have a clear idea in mind or simply need a little inspiration, we'll guide you through the process with care, understanding and practical advice.

A Design That Reflects Their Life

A bespoke coffin gives you the freedom to create a design around the things that made your loved one who they were.

Perhaps they had a passion for motorbikes, music, gardening or a particular football team. Maybe they loved travelling, treasured family photographs, collected something special or had a favourite place.

You could bring together photographs, meaningful words, poetry, colours or several different themes, or adapt one of our existing pictorial designs.

There is no single right way to approach a bespoke design. If you're unsure where to begin, we'll listen to your ideas and help you explore the possibilities.

STEP 1

Choose a Starting Point

Begin with one of our existing pictorial coffin designs, or choose a simple design that can be personalised to reflect your loved one's life.

The starting design provides the foundation for the finished coffin. You can build on it with photographs, colours, favourite things and other meaningful details.

STEP 2

Gather Your Memories and Ideas

Bring together the photographs, postcards, colours, words or other personal details you'd like to include.

You don't need to create the finished design yourself. Simply share your ideas with us and explain what each element means to you. We'll help turn those thoughts into a proposed design.

STEP 3

Review and Approve Your Design

We'll arrange for a visual of your proposed design to be prepared and shared with you for approval or requested alterations.

Once you're happy with the final design, we'll confirm the arrangements and expected timescale for the finished coffin.

Bespoke Coffin Prices and Timescales

Creating a bespoke coffin allows you to go beyond our existing pictorial designs and create something that reflects the individual life, interests and memories of someone special.

Bespoke Cardboard Coffins — £795

Our bespoke cardboard coffins can feature personal photographs, meaningful words, favourite colours, hobbies or a design created especially for your family. Whether you have a clear idea in mind or would appreciate some guidance, we can help you develop a design that feels right.

Bespoke Wood Coffins — £1,095

For families who prefer a traditional wooden coffin, a bespoke design can combine a personal tribute with the appearance and feel of wood. This provides another way to create a coffin that reflects the person being remembered.

Design and approval

We will guide you through the design process and arrange for a visual proof to be prepared for your approval before the design is finalised. The time required will depend on the complexity of the design and the supplier's current production schedule.

We will confirm the expected timescale with you before proceeding. Additional design work beyond the included revisions may incur a further charge, which we will explain before any extra work is undertaken.

Please contact us for a current quotation before commissioning a bespoke design.
