Why Families Choose Rounce

Independent. Family-run. Personally accountable.
Dignified, transparent care for families in Worthing and across Sussex since 2004.

No obligation. Just calm, practical support, whenever you’re ready.

Your Loved One Remains in Our Care

From the moment your loved one comes into our care, they remain with us at our Worthing premises.

They are not transported between facilities.
They are not cared for in a warehouse or industrial estate.

Everything takes place under our direct supervision, with dignity, respect and personal attention at every stage.

Families are welcome to:

  • Dress their loved one in chosen clothing

  • Include personal items, letters or fragrances

  • Visit them privately in our Chapel of Rest

That continuity of care provides reassurance at a time when reassurance matters most.

Independent and Family-Run Since 2004

We are a second-generation, independent family funeral director — not part of a national chain.

That means:

  • No corporate sales targets

  • No commission-based upselling

  • No pressure

Whoever makes the arrangements with you will personally oversee the funeral on the day itself. You will see the same familiar face throughout.

For many families, that continuity brings enormous comfort.

Recognised for Consistent Excellence

We are proud to have twice been named National Winner at the Good Funeral Awards (2019 and 2025).

We have also been recognised for excellence for eleven consecutive years with the Three Best Rated® award.

These recognitions reflect our commitment to professionalism, compassion and the highest standards of care.

More importantly, they reflect the experiences of the families we serve.

Transparent, Upfront Pricing

We provide clear, detailed pricing from the outset.

There are no hidden extras.
No unexpected additions.
No unnecessary upgrades.

You remain fully informed and in control of every decision.

Ongoing Support After the Funeral

Through our partnership with SAIF Care, families have access to free, independent bereavement counselling following the funeral.

Community-Minded and Inclusive

We are proud to support our local community with discount programmes for Blue Light Card holders, Defence Discount Card holders and families receiving welfare benefits.

We are also honoured to support local initiatives, including serving as main sponsor of the Durrington Festival — a celebration of community, families and local organisations in Worthing.

Our arrangement room and Chapel of Rest are wheelchair-accessible, and we provide communication support for deaf clients to ensure every family feels comfortable and included.

(Please note: our toilet facilities are not currently wheelchair accessible.)

Regulated and Accountable

We are members of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) and adhere strictly to its Code of Practice.

We are also authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Firm Reference No. 815392).
