A direct cremation is a very simple, no-fuss cremation which is much less stressful and much more affordable.
There is no funeral service or ceremony beforehand with minimal paperwork involved, giving you the freedom to arrange a more personal service or get-together at a venue and time that suits you and your family and friends.

What's included for £1,195?

bringing your loved one into our care from a local hospital within a 15 mile radius of Worthing as soon as possible. Nationwide service will be charged accordingly by mileage and any other toll charges.

looking after them the very best that we can in our specialist facilities at our Worthing funeral home.

your choice whether you want your loved one dressed in their own clothes and surrounded by their own possessions such photos, cards and sweets.

laying them to rest as gently as possible into a made-to-measure light oak effect coffin which is lined with a satin frill and fitted with a comfy pillow.

your choice whether to visit your loved one in our Chapel of Rest at a time and day that suits you.

an unattended cremation at a crematorium of our choice within 10 miles of our premises in Worthing.

the scattering of the ashes at the crematorium or we can collect them on your behalf. You can then collect them from us within 28 days or we can arrange for them to be hand delivered to you by one of our team.
What could cost more?

if your loved one needs to be brought into our care urgently from home, nursing home or hospice, there is an additional charge of £250 plus any mileage and other toll charges for our nationwide service.

If you want your loved one dressed in their own clothes there is an additional charge of £80.

if you want to choose a crematorium to be used which is closer to you, there is an additional charge depending on the crematorium fee, mileage and other charges.

If you would like to honour your loved one with a meaningful farewell while respecting their wishes for a direct cremation, we offer an intimate service in our Chapel of Rest for up to 6 people at just £250. This includes a celebrant-led tribute with personalised touches like music, candles, and a eulogy, creating a heartfelt goodbye. For larger groups, we can arrange multiple small services. The Intimate Attended Direct Cremation option provides a peaceful and personal way to say goodbye, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects.
What are the restrictions of Direct Cremation?

you are able to choose the day but not the time of the cremation. We will advise you of whether it is happening in the morning or the afternoon.

all mourners, including you and family and friends, cannot follow our vehicle or attend at the crematorium.

if you want to choose a crematorium to be used which is closer to you, there is an additional charge depending on the crematorium fee, mileage and other charges.

payment must be made prior to the direct cremation.
